Doing your taxes can be difficult, but having the forms you need at your fingertips can make it a bit easier. Massachusetts state income taxes for 2013 are due on April 15, 2014, so it’s important to get all your necessary documentation together.

To facilitate filing your Massachusetts state income taxes, the Department of Revenue (DOR) provides residents with the free WebFile for Income application, which asks questions about your income and lifestyle to determine eligibility for credits and deductions. WebFile for Income will begin accepting returns on January 22, 2014; only full-year Massachusetts residents are eligible to use it to file their taxes.

Non-residents and part-year Massachusetts residents can file electronically using either commercial software or a professional paid preparer, or can file paper returns.
